TheKillerNacho
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/08/15/dolphins-lose-starting-cornerback-tony-lippett-for-season/ The injury bug gets worse. Luckily this will open the door for our two young corners to get more playtime.
cddolphin
Tony Lippett played 75% of defensive snaps and 36% of special teams snaps last year, and was an ascending boundary corner. This sucks.
Deadeye
We're looking at a losing record this season. Numerous key injuries for a team lacking in depth.
hrubes20
Geez. There are still 3 preseason games left to play and this team has already had more season ending injuries than I can remember. Terrible.
ericsvibe
We all wondered what Gase was going to do with Tankersly. Now we know. I think that CT is going to be a draft steal. He looked good in coverage against the Ravens. We also have Verner to step in as well. I actually think we have enough depth at CB to where this shouldn't affect us that much. Dolphinmeister
Of the four guys lost for the season so far to injury this one worries me the least. I like lippett a lot and hope he is back next year but unless Miami has a rash of major injuries in the secondary Lippett should not be a catastrophic loss. Agreed that this theoretically doesn't hurt the team as much as the others this year. But it still stinks. Lippett was expected to compete for the starting CB spot opposite Howard next year, after Maxwell walks in FA. Losing out on any valuable snaps this year hurts next year.
