Kiltman
While Mathews goes in search of the other T, what are your thoughts on the RB situation this year?
Voraroux
Brutal business, proving you're healthy to get fired.. I'm happy with the RB situation in General, I'd like to see Blount prove BB wrong and show he has some tread left on the tires.
ianlewis16
Most expected release ever. Smallwood gonna dominate.
nlesthought
If I'm Mathews I'm thinking I'm done, a neck injury isn't worth the risk. As far as the Eagles situation: Blount Smallwood (possible KR) Sproles Pump (also possible KR) If the right team comes calling (a 2nd would do it) I might consider trading Sproles around the deadline. I wouldn't say no to a Sproles trade. Can't see it happening though.

Yea RB seems pretty cut and dry since the addition of Blount, this just solidified what was expected. That said unless Sproles asks for a trade he's not going anywhere. EaglesPeteC
I expect to see Blount and Sproles split time with some Smallwood sprinkled in. Pump exclusively special teams if he is even active on game day.

Phire
I think the team has been prepping Smallwood for this. I doubt they had long term plans for Mathews even if he was healthy. With that said we have Blount and Sproles too. There won't be a workhorse. It'll be situational. These guys all do different things.

We're not going to carry 8 running backs, us signing Blount was clearly the nail in his coffin. All I said was that I'd prefer to roll with him and our younger backs, because I feel he's a far more talented back. Obviously, he can't stay healthy and this neck injury might be career ending, so that's a pretty good reason to cut him.
Bednarik60
Glad Matthews was cut, hope him the best of recovery with his neck. I think we roll with Blount, Sproles, Pump, Clement. Clements size and versatility will give him the nod over Smallwood. and Smallwood is the surprise/not so surprise cut. And Darby needs his #28.
