I'd say so but I'm not sure if coaching will help him. I can't imagine anyone will have an interest in claiming Carlson at this point. Im pleased with this move. My concern is whether he has the leg any longer...but, I guess we'll see. I do find it kind of amusing that he apparently turned down trying out for 4 other teams...maybe even including the Rams, I believe, to sign with the Vikings.
