Now I'm even more confused. Have gotten both answers lol.

It actually looks like he may be restricted purely based off the fact that due to multiple suspensions, he only played 5 games versus the necessary 6 in 2014.

Yep he killed teams ripping quick slants for 30+ yard plays when teams were playing prevent soft coverages

Yeah those back to back games where he totaled 498 yards that was all 4th quarter garbage time stats even though one game was a 4 point loss and we outplayed the Steelers but the 4 turnovers caused the loss not Gordon's 237 yards on 14 catches and 17 targets.. The week before he had over 150 in a 1 point loss.

Gordon was our offense, in close games, lopsided games and every game. Even when he didn't have a big game he was a big threat. We just weren't a good team. Gordon has a lot of issues but what he does on the football field is real and it is special.

"Oh man, it just had to be the Patriots of all places! I can't believe this... He's about to have 2000 yards!"

^This is one of the most poorly supported, yet pervasive, narratives in the NFL. It all stems from the Pats revival of Moss, they took a down on his luck all time talent and managed to get historically good production out of him. This was 10 years ago... That's all there is to their reputation though. The following WRs were brought and elicited similar reactions:

  • Reggie Wayne
  • Ochocinco
  • Brandon Lloyd
  • Brandin Cooks
  • Michael Floyd

Of course none had nearly the same hype as bringing in Moss*, and expectations were never for any of these guys* to have crazy good years, but in each case* the idea was that they'd reverse the trajectory of their career.

*save for Cooks

It's a good move by the Pats, low risk high reward, but shouldn't strike fear in the league or anything.

What he did in ‘13 was special but anything outside of that wasn’t really special

Browns and Pats recent trade history:

2016 - Browns get Jamie Collins for a 3rd

2016 - Pats get Barkevious Mingo for a 5th

2018 - Pats get Danny Shelton for a 3rd

2018 - Pats get Jason McCourty for a 6th

2018 - Pats get Josh Gordon for a 5th

..................

2019 - Pats get Baker Mayfield for a 4th and 7th?

Browns are getting #MeToo'd by the Pats, and no one seems to care

Which player was truly worth a damn that the browns traded ?  Browns were lucky to get the picks They did. Those players were garbage in their own right!
