Where does Patrick Mahomes arm strength stack up all-time?  I wasn't alive/old enough to watch prime Favre, so I was wondering how his arm stacks up to Favre's for example who everyone says had a cannon (hell, he still did even when he got old).

Mahomes has the strongest arm of any QB I can remember watching.  It'd probably be close with him and Vick.  Stafford had/has one hell of an arm too, dude would sidearm it and still throw a fast-ball.

I think at a certain point, really hard to differentiate. Mahomes, Allen both have cannons. Stafford. Kaep had a rocket. Kyle Boller. Cutler in his youth.

Drew Brees has pretty much locked up the new NFL single season completion % record.

Right now he could throw 20 straight incompletions and no complete passes and still break the old record by 0.1%

For every completion he makes, he can throw another ~1.38 incompletions on top of those 20 and still set the record.

This just will not ever happen no matter what. If there is any sportsbook out there still taking bets on it, even at insane odds, it's free money (so they probably aren't).

My suggestion is to find someone you know personally who hates Drew Brees and talk it up like it's impossible he won't set it (without explaining these stats) and then bet them like $2000 to $10 so you can get a free chipotle burrito.

Saints defense has been stout the last 5 games. If they can keep this up, and lock up some home games in the playoffs the Saints could be a tough out even if Brees comes out completely flat again.

Quote

The Saints, who rank eighth in weighted defensive DVOA (a metric that accounts not just for strength of opponent but accounts more heavily for how a team’s played in recent games), are quietly on a tear through the past five weeks. In that stretch, they’ve given up an average of just 13.0 points per game (first), surrendered an 80.3 opponent passer rating (sixth) and eight opponent touchdowns (second), and racked up an astounding 24 sacks (first) and 12 takeaways (tied for second).

Vick beats him by a country mile. Mahomes has a great arm, but Vick in his prime could flick his wrist with almost no hip movement and drive a ball on a line 65 yards downfield like nothing. Never seen anything like it including prime Favre. His brother was equally as gifted, he was just brain dead.

***UPDATE***

Here's what's going to happen:

The Browns HAVE to beat the Bengals this weekend AND the Ravens next weekend.

The Chargers HAVE to beat the Ravens this Saturday.

Thanks to the Patriots and Tom Brady laying an egg yesterday, and BB intentionally losing a game just to screw over the Browns, the Colts now need to lose to the Giants and then TIE the Titans!

We also NEED Washington to BEAT the Titans and then TIE the Colts!

...then, we only need the Dolphins to lose 1 out of their next 2 games!!!!!!!! Come on Jaguars and/or Bills!!!!!!!!!!!!

We could very well be sitting at 7-7-1 with the 8-7 Ravens, 8-7 Colts, and 8-7 Titans. A win against Baltimore would put us ahead of them, and we'd need the Titans and Colts to tie in Week 17.
