DawgX
Nick Chubb is 28 yards away from 1000 for the season. And that's with him not having any more than three carries per game for the first six weeks of the season. Screw Hue and Haley.
wackywabbit
Random thought: Why is it perceived as acceptable for Mayfield to be a butt? Jackson is so bad a coach and was "holding him back" so much that Mayfield can be as disrespectful as he wants and it's cool? Granted, we don't know what the personal interactions were like, but Hue's had a pretty brutal year off the field, and that's a guy you were working with up until 2 months ago. No concerns about the type of "leader" that acts that way?

No concerns about the type of "leader" that acts that way? I would have an issue if it was just about any other coach, especially if they meant well but just weren’t good at their job. However, Hue Jackson is not a likeable person and went on a week long tour essentially blaming the players for the lack of success. So Baker disrespecting him is OK in my book. Although I’m sure if it was a different QB (ahem Cam), more people would probably have an issue.

Hue gets a lot of hate for various reasons, and not just because he was an awful head coach. He gets hated on because he's a phony and would constantly blame others for the team's failures. He'd rarely, if ever, accept responsibility for the team playing so poorly.

He has better tools than Mullens, so there's a much higher ceiling, but there's certainly no guarantee that he's even a good starting quarterback at this point as the sample is so limited. It's crazy to think about, but by the end of this season, Mullens and he have roughly the same number of NFL starts (10 to 8). Basically, the pendulum has swung too far the other direction with Jimmy g. After last year, people were fawning over him, and it was too much too soon. This year, he didn't play lights out, and now people are viewing Mullens as a superior option, which is crazy. It was a bad start to the season, no doubt, but there's nothing in Jimmys history or profile that suggests he would be a sub 60 guy as he was in the three games this year. That's going to bounce back. You really don't have to look much further than today's game vs last year's Jacksonville's game to see the difference in ceiling. I didn't think Mullens crapped the bed or anything today, he did about as well as would be expected, but no touchdowns, including a driver that started within the opponents 35, and only a couple of worthwhile drives and a few nice throws. Then you look at what Jimmy did last year against Jax, whom had a comparable defense, and there's a considerable difference. Mullens just doesn't have that kind of ceiling or toolset

But i didnt see Jimmy play alot last year, so wasnt sure if he is the difference of them being a 5 win team or 10 win team.

And is universally ridiculed for his ineffectiveness at that job. ... but good on Baker for shaming him for being a phony.

Kip Smithers
To have Baker in this league is refreshing. Tired of the cliche QB in the NFL. Love his attitude and it’s for the right franchise.
