Love it.  Not even a mention of Adams.  As it should be.  If he gets over 1100 yards and 10 TDs, I'll eat my words.  Until then, I'm not about to put him on a pedestal

Packer fans have spoken highly of Adams and I pretty much wrote it off as homerism because I hadn't heard of a lot of big plays from him during his career, but I will say that he looked very good against our defense on Sunday.  I would say he is about on par with Diggs and Thielen.

Fair enough.  I thought he looked solid though unspectacular outside of the touchdown where he made 2 guys miss.  I think it would be easier for me to rank Adams with Diggs and Thielen if we had seen him for all of last season with a healthy Aaron Rodgers because his production would have undoubtedly increased

Thielen has fewer career TDs than Adams had in 2016, Diggs fewer in his career than Adams did in the last two years.  Adams 2016 was second in yards to Thielen's 2017 among all three of these receivers seasons.  Scored the same # of TDs in 8 games with Hundley as Thielen managed in his best season.  Highest rating when targeted in the NFL on 3rd and 4th down last year, along with game winning TDs against the Browns and Cowboys, made the game winning play against the Bears.

You're a special kind of homer though, I'll give you that.  If you want to just say every Vikings player is the best at every position with no close seconds, do it man, don't be afraid.

Thielen pretty easily.  Diggs is a close second, but Davante Adams is massively overrated by the majority of this board.  He's never even had a 1000 yard receiving season and is ranked by most people as a top 7-8 receiver which is laughable at best

Allen Robinson would be a top 13-15 receiver if he had a better QB throwing to him

Lulz.  He was 3 yards short of that in 2016, and between the incompetent Brett Hundley throwing to him and dealing with injuries, he was on pace for another 1000 yard season.  Seems like an incredibly arbitrary way to make that argument.  BTW, if you're going to use that standard you need to evenly apply it across the board.  Diggs has never had a 1000 yard receiving season.  Hell, he's only eclipsed 900 yards once.

None of them are what I would consider to be "elite", but they are all very, very good.  They are all very close in terms of talent too.

I would agree with this sentiment.  I disagree with the order, but they're all in a similar tier for me.  I'd probably argue Thielen, Adams, Robinson, and then Diggs but it's really a matter of preference.

Adams was barely on pace lol.  86 for 1011 is obviously not better than 103 for 1111 and sure as hell is not "easily hitting it".  Diggs would have "easily hit it" if he hadnt missed THREE games in 2016.  Theres no way that Diggs' 2017 season can be his best year when he wasnt even the best receiver on his own team.  Thielen was significantly better than him in every area, you probably just remember that fluky play that beat the Saints and think that Diggs was amazing that year but in reality he was just above average for us and happened to be at the right place at the right time for us in the playoffs.  Dont think 2 more yards per catch skews the data to the point that his 2017 season should be considered better, because there's a reason he was thrown the ball more consistently in 2016.  It's because he was clearly our best receiver that year and earned all the targets he got

Again, not sure how 75 for 997 through 16 games is better than 84 for 903 in 13 games (since both of these are their best performances), even with Adams' advantage in touchdowns.  Not like Diggs has ever had anyone good throwing him the ball before this season.  Diggs has also never had any problems with drops, which was a huge issue for Adams before 2016

If you think Adams is overrated you need to reevaluate how you watch WR's. Dude is absolutely legit.

That said Thielen is the best in the NFC North.

Cmon now man. Take the blinders off. I'm a Bears fans and I would love to be able to say that Adams doesn't belong on this list but that be foolish to do so.

Adams isn't a top-5 receiver or anything but he certainly belongs on this list. Since 2016, he has the most receiving TD's in the league among all WR's (24) with AB a close 2nd with 22---Diggs is 13th, Tate is 28th and Thielan is 29th.

Now granted he has Rodgers -- something that I would have argued as well -- but last year 6 of 10 TD's came after Rodgers when out with an injury. (although one of them I credit Rodgers for being on the sidelines and telling McCarthy to tell Hundley to go back to Adams in the EZ on the same back shoulder shoulder throw that Adams dropped(?) on the previous play).

Adams is also 12th in receptions during the same span(162). Tate, Thielan and Diggs are 5th, 10th and 14th, respectively.

If you wanna talk up Thielan and Diggs being better than Adams....talk about Y/Target where Thielan and Diggs are 4th and 10th respectively and Adams is 17th among all receivers with atleast 200 targets during that span (while inadvertently ignoring scheme) .

But, I would take Thielan over Adams but it's not as clear cut as you think it is.

I would ranked them all something like this.

Thielan
Adams
Diggs
Robinson
Tate

The only reason I put Tate so low is because I value the production of outside receivers over others who spend the majority of their snaps in the slot. In short, I value versatility and all others who I mentioned above him have produced in every role on the field - including the slot or decoy.

Davante Adams

Adam Thielen

Stefon Diggs

Golden Tate

Allen Robinson

Marvin Jones

Randall Cobb

I mean the top 4 are pretty swappable IMO. Adams being the best because he has the most TDs since 2016, Diggs and Thielen are very good and should go up a bit with Cousins at the helm stats wise but I'll say Adams has proven his talent with Hundley at QB.
