There wasn't even that much pressure. Sam had happy feet.

There should be a lot of finger pointing tomorrow, but like always nothing will happen. Chris Johnson will probably give Todd Bowels a extension on his contract tomorrow.

Going back and watching Darnolds tape.. dude was absolute trash this game. We might be in trouble

I'm not worried about Darnold. He knows his stuff. He had a short week and a bunch of "You can't lose to the Browns" pressure on him. He sucked this game hands down, but he's going to be fine. It's game #3.

Let’s hope your right but anyone who says they are not worried after watching that last night needs to take this rose tinted glasses off.

Just because you draft a guy 3rd overall doesn’t just mean he will be a franchise qb. The errors he made tonight were alarming.

Even on the final drive where he threw the pick...why would he not throw it downfield and at least give his guy a chance?? Instead he threw a dart to the two browns in the middle of the field with no Jet in sight lol. The 3rd down on the play before was worrisome as when he rolled out he didn’t adjust his shoulders to make a throw downfield and just didn’t look like comfortable whatsoever.

Both Macc, & Bowles were the main reason we lost. The Jets talent on both the O line & the D line are sub par, in plain English they both suck. What are we really getting out of Leonard Williams our sixth over all pick in the draft, a run stopper, but has no pass rushing ability at all. Did anybody hear Bowles post interview, it makes you want to throw up. Bowles said we had a game plan, and we were not going to change it. It is going to be a long year for Darnold, if the Jets don't get him help on the O line, but where is the help going to come from?? Ever pass play for the Jets in the first half Darnold, was rushed on every one. Every Jets fan has to be sick over that lousy performance last night.

100%. He’s a rookie behind a bad o-line with mediocre receivers and a conservative playbook.

Still looked awful no matter how you dress it up. Not saying he will be a bust or any of that B.S. Just last night he looked like he had never taken a snap under centre before.

Not arguing that but we need to look st the whole picture. If he was behind Dallas’ o-line throwing to stud receivers, I’d have serious concerns.

I am not worried about Darnold, per se. But what are we doing? What is the plan, exactly? If all he is going to do is hand the ball off to our RB committee or throw 5-yard passes to Enunwa, ANYBODY who plays QB in the NFL can do that. We are not allowing him to grow and develop HIS passing game. We are not allowing him to improvise. We anointed him the starter, and now we are using him like we would have used McCown or Bridgewater. What is the point of that. If THIS is the QB play we want, a veteran is better suited for it. Why isn't he using the two deep threats we have in Anderson and Pryor? He went to Herndon a lot against Miami, and yeah the rookie dropped some balls, so last night we basically ignored that element of the offense?

This is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. It is not enough to have a guy you THINK can be a franchise QB. You actually have to develop that and get that out of him. It does not simply happen.

Right now, it looks like we gave up three second rounders for a game manager.

Also, Bowles is obviously not a master motivator, nor is he a genius strategist. The ONLY thing I liked about him when he first got here was that the team seemed to play a disciplined brand of football (sans any shenanigans) that had been lacking under Rex Ryan. Well, where has that gone? Our players OVERREACT every time they make one damn play. We take stupid penalty after stupid penalty. There is zero leadership, zero accountability. This is a complete joke.

We need to clean house (yes, AGAIN). New management team. New coaching staff.

This perpetual and everlasting rebuild continues.

Well, that is one of the issues. What is the plan for the kid? Because by trading our draft-day depth to land him, and not really addressing the MAJOR needs of this franchise (a game-breaking RB, a true No. 1 WR, O-line upgrades and above all else a legitimate EDGE rusher), we are just throwing him to the lions here and hoping for the best. At this point, it will be a miracle if Darnold does NOT bust because the set up for failure is fairly obvious to the naked eye.

I get it. The Jets believe in Sam Darnold. They feel he is the real deal. Does that mean he HAS to turn into Aaron Rodgers overnight? Because that seems to be our plan here.
