The only way it works for him is if some team trades for him, and agrees to pay him over the $14.5mil for one year. But other than that he’s pretty much stuck.

If people want to blame the Steelers, now they they are opening to trading him, I think we’re going to start to see the side where Bell has been really screwing the pooch.

But they can't pay him until after the season. That's a lot of trust coming from a guy who's shown he doesn't trust anyone.

Long term extension correct.

But say he’s traded to the Jets who have $30mil in cap space; there’s nothing stopping the Jets from paying him $25mil guaranteed this year as a move to try to guarantee him staying after.

LeVeon wants a long-term extension, why are people in here saying he should go to a rental? He'd never agree to that, because it's precisely why he's holding out. He won't even be a rental for Pittsburgh.

So unless some team is willing to sign him long-term, I don't think trade negotiations are going to anywhere.

The only way it work is if the team he was being traded to had a wink wink deal with Le'Veon and his agent that they were going to "Pay the Man" at the end of the season.

This isn't any different that the Mack trade to Chicago. If a deal is close, Pitt will give that team permission to talk with Bell's agent about an extension.

after all this, is there a team out there that would even consider such a risk?

Yeah, no point in helping the team that kicks the crap out of you every time kick the crap out of you.

But you could also look at it from the perspective of a Trojan Horse situation where you know Bell is a "selfish" player who will tie up the Patriots cap space with a huge contract and lead to their ultimate demise of a dynasty.
