I like the Vegas move regardless. Oakland is trash, and I don't want the team in SoCal. Vegas is an untapped market. And this may sound ridiculous, and I really don't care, but Vegas controls the sports world and we'll get some benefits out of this.

I get it but I have a bias for California and is my homeland just sad to watch my team leave this great state but Vegas is not far and the $ is going to be ridiculous.

Why not SoCal?

Edit. Nevermind. Take this convo out of this thread. This thread is about Amari Cooper. There's a plethora of other threads to put this in. I didn't even realize this was the Coop thread since it got so off topic.

Guys, this thread is about Amari Cooper. Keep it that way. Start new threads for other topics or think about where they belong.

I came here to also mention where I stand with the guy. I think we should try to showcase him all year and trade him in the offseason. We won't want to pay him more than what Watkins got. And even if we did, it might be risky. So I'd prefer to make an effort see what we have in him going forward. Best case, he balls and we keep him. Or we get better trade value. I mentioned him to the Niners in a News thread for their 2nd and Forge (great poster, Mod for SF forum) balked at it. But if Cooper plays like he's capable of, he should be able to net even a mid first IMO.

I think the damage is beyond repair for him with our team though. Carr doesn't look for him enough.  Whether that's due to Cooper not being open or Carr's mindset or Gameplan/Playcalling or lack of protection or Carr's potential lack of trust, its palpable that Carr is not making a strong enough effort to get Amari Cooper the ball. Plus considering he shares the same agent as Mack, I wouldn't guess negotiations would go well for a new contract.

Cooper has to go, time to move on from him and if we let Mack go i don't see how we would pay Cooper

I just read Cooper is seeking top WR money... #Delusional

I am not saying he has earned it yet but tell me which one of these WRs deserves $16/yr because 2 of them are getting that.

None and that is the problem.  Idiot GM's pay those guys and they don't produce like 16 million dollar WR's.  My point is to let another GM make that mistake.

My point was that he is not delusional.  GM's around the league that believe these WRs are worth that might be.

Smoke = fire, with this team.

I am a Cooper fan, but not enough to pay him top WR $ when he hasn't consistently been top WR on his own team. We are so far from winning now, I want us to commit to garnering draft picks and avoiding colossal contracts to guys who questionably deserve it. Cooper personifies this.

It better not be anything less than a 3rd since a comp pick for him would be that. A 1st is unrealistic, a 2nd would be nice, a 3rd would be acceptable. Getting ready for a 3rd for Cooper and a 5th.
