I love the Kill Bill movies, and I still agree that two was plenty.  Probably my 2nd and 3rd favorite Tarantino movies though.

I've actually never seen Death Proof.  I assume he sees Kill Bill as one project that just got too long, ergo two movies.

When it was part of the Grindhouse double feature, I think Robert Rodriguez’s Planet Terror was first and I didn’t care for it so I never even got to Deathproof.  I finally watched it on its own sometime last year and really enjoyed it. It’s got a vibe similar to The Duel or Breakdown.

Yeah Death Proof was enjoyable, better of the two in the double feature
