Wire is a slow burn and takes 8 to 10 episodes to really hook you, but after it does, its terrific. Never saw fringe.
August4th
talk of OZ has me remembering how grimy some of the HBO programing was in the 90s. the adult content, documentaries, OZ and other shows. A time capsule into darker/taboo side of 90s America. Some eye-opening stuff, even for today. I wonder has anyone made a deep dive video on that era of HBO. HBO recently aired a complete story of a docu that started during the run called 'A life of Crime'. A devastating Doc that follows 3 people as they battle drug addiction from the 80s to now. Yeah it is I always liked it more than the wire… but it’s hard to get people to watch it once you explain it a bit.

Yeah there was some odd stuff on there. I used to fall asleep watching movies on the couch a lot as a kid and would wake up to the weirdest stuff. adamq
https://variety.com/2023/tv/news/ryan-coogler-x-files-reboot-1235567129/ Original series creator Chris Carter made the revelation during an interview with “On The Coast with Gloria Macarenko” to celebrate the 30th anniversary of “The X-Files.” During the interview, Carter said, “I just spoke to a young man, Ryan Coogler, who is going to remount ‘The X-Files’ with a diverse cast. So he’s got his work cut out for him, because we covered so much territory.” Hopefully this gets made, and with some of the original writers.. Don't need any more Mulder/Scully, those two actors are long ago washed Edited March 28, 2023 by adamq

I had to try four times before I made it past the first four episodes.
