You're not even giving yourself a chance to pick up the first down on YAC at that point. I get that you may want to be conservative give the position, but there are still very conservative plays that at least give you something of a shot to pick it up with YAC (crossing and slants). The reason you want to avoid them is because someone like CJ misses high and it's a pick six the other way. You can't trust him to put it in the breadbasket.
