GDT Week 4: KC @ DEN

Recommended Posts

Defense probably not capable of doing much more. Offense has to put together a long drive here.

Saw Veldheer is questionable. Definitely draft a LT and move Bolles to RT. Veldheer cannot be counted on for a full season.

A dominant running game like that would go so far into solving issues.

A rested D, manageable down and distances, keeping Bolles from being exposed etc.

That TD by Freeman was such a bad play call.  Haha.  So lucky Freeman had ridiculous patience on that run.  Even all time great backs would have committed up the field before getting that close to the sideline.

Great patience - to be honest though, there's no way that's a TD with a halfway decent D.  Those last 2 tackle attempts inside the 10 were pathetic.  On the other hand, Freeman did so much great work to get there, I'll give him the nod regardless.

Either way, though, all good on our RB front.

Now our D really needs to get off the field.   They are gassed.

Like the nasty edge Jewell brought there finishing the tackle on KHunt.

I was just going to say,  this defense as a whole came to play with a nasty demeanor tonight.  Love it.

Second half adjustments will obviously be telling, but this is Joe Woods' most impressive showing as a DC so far. Remember Reid's offenses made Wade's defenses look terrible most of the time. Tonight they've really only struggled with the gimmicky stuff that was more prevalent with Smith at QB and those plays are just tough to plan for.
