I was reading somewhere that Tanoh had actually been getting some snaps at OLB. Any truth to that? That's a giant man to be standing up rushing the passer.

Yep, obviously they use in quite a number of spots - also covering RBs.

They're trying him everywhere! OLB, DE and NT.

I don't see that much height working at NT.

Yeah, TK needs to work from outside the tackles. He could be tough when he gets leverage. His height worries me for his knees. I hope they've fit him for some protection.

I think we're up to some surprises ...

Balance between WR/TE/RB ...
LB vs DB/DL ...

Good depth left and right ...

After all those injuries and trades ... and I go bold on WR.

Updated after cut-downs.

Some observations:

  • All draft picks but DB McQuay III made it.
  • No UDFA made it.
  • OG Jordan Devey is the only player from last year's PS to make it.
  • 9 OL seems a lot.
  • 2 RB and 3TE seems low for this team. C.J. Spillers's release surprised probably all of us.
  • Kpassagnon has been formally moved to LB on the mothership.

Guys I consider locks on the PS unless someone else picks them up:

  • Kemp
  • S. Jones
  • McQuay III
  • Okine
  • Bausby
  • Mama

I'll update the other parts of the database over the next couple of days - too busy with other stuff right now.

Practice squad is in. http://www.chiefs.com/news/article-2/Chiefs-Sign-Eight-to-Practice-Squad/2095211c-8f3e-45d0-aa31-7a3c74e420b3

Orson Charles | TE | 6-3 | 247 | Georgia | Tampa, Fla.

Joseph Cheek | OL | 6-7 | 311 | Texas A&M | Seguin, Texas

Gehrig Dieter | WR | 6-2 | 208 | Alabama | South Bend, Ind.

Marcus Kemp | WR | 6-4 | 210 | Hawaii | Layton, Utah

Damien Mama | G | 6-3 | 342 | USC | Moreno Valley, Calif.

Leon McQuay | S | 6-1 | 195 | USC | Seffner, Fla.

Devine Redding | RB | 5-8 | 205 | Indiana | Youngstown, Ohio

Marcus Rush | LB | 6-3 | 251 | Michigan State | Cincinnati, Ohio

I am glad to see Kemp, McQuay and Mama but Redding is the one I really wanted. I don't think S Jones was eligible.
