tbh, I don't order it at restaurants and probably wouldn't go nuts over it in public because the average cocktail sauce is basically just ketchup. A good cocktail sauce should be nostril clearing.

Dat generous horseradish content bro...

Why not just fry and bread everything?  I mean that's pretty lazy, too.

I think the shrimp cocktail should have been a shellfish tower app (a combo chilled seafood done well, i.e. crab claws, lobster tail meat, shrimp cocktail, raw oysters with proper accoutrements like cocktail sauce, a mustard-mayo-based sauce, horseradish, lemon wedges, bed of ice, etc.).

When done right, it's utter perfection.  Eff them taquitos, basic *******.

anyone ever eaten a live shrimp? 2/10 would not recommend.

still better than a taquito though.

Who would really want to eat a live animal of any kind?

I kinda prefer my food not to make noises or have movement before I eat it.

How to make cocktail sauce:

1. Take a little bit of ketchup
2. Add a **** ton of horseradish
3. Taste. Cry a little bit.
4. Add a little more ketchup.
5. Realize you added too much then add more horseradish.
6. Perfect.

#5 Taquitos vs. #12 Cocktail Shrimp - As a snack, taquitos no doubt. But as an appetizer, shrimp.

#6 Gyoza vs. #11 Wings - I had to google gyzoa, so wings wins

#7 Jalepeno Poppers vs. #10 Fried Pickles - This ones a toss up. But I could go for fried pickles more often than poppers. Poppers getting screwed by the seeding iyam.

#8 Crab Rangoon vs. #9 Bloomin Onion - no competition here

That and the ability to reason.

I’ve never understood the love for wings.

They’re small, bony pieces of meat.  What’s so great about them?

If it’s the sauce and fried parts you like, why not fry and coat tenders and actually have some decent meat to eat?

Just seems like a lot of work for some mediocre meat...

My understanding is that "wings" includes bone-in and bone-out.
