Melo isnt going to have a bounce back 20 point per game season, but I think he will hit about 14 points in about 28 minutes per game and shoot much more efficient shots. He can also step up when CP3 is missing his 20 games this year and give us some scoring and mid range game that we need.

OKC was a mess with a line up that featured 3 guys who shot sub 30% from 3 next to PG and melo. Under normal circumstances, the rockets will only have 1 non 3 point threat on the court with Melo, and by OKC standards our 3rd and 4th centers Chriss and Hartenstien are both going to be 3 point threats.

Melo will struggle on D, but even that should be a little better this year with him dialed in and in a best system for his limited skill sets.

plus we have a coach with full support of everyone, that will go a long way this season. He will not hesitate to bench Melo in big moments if he isn't producing. We have much more depth than last years Thunder team, and so Melo is not going to be relied on to be a legit 3rd option. Melo might be our 6th best player.

bottom line is that the Rockets will get the best Melo has to offer this season. Maybe that isnt much, but Rockets melo this year will be better than Melo on 29 other teams would be.

I can accept that.. he will obviously be better in that HOU system because he cant be much worse.
