Did the light come on?

  1. 1. Did the light come on?

    • Yes, the Lions game was a turning point. He will be much more willing to take risks now that he sees the success he can have.

    • No, even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes. His career best game was also against the Lions. He'll be back to Dak'n his ducks into the turf this Sunday.

    • No, the light didn't come on. It's BEEN ON for him! Dak is the diamond in the rough. What had happened was the OLine decided to block, Zeke didn't suck, and the WRs finally caught most of the beautiful blessings that are Daks perfect spirals.

    • Yes, the light came on, it was apparent that something was different, but I'm not holding my breath that it's a permanent change.

I really get frustrated at times and I guess this latest loss brings out my worst

only time will tell about Dak and how he is viewed but I do know most of the time it is circumstances and more importantly the people around you that make or break a QB.    You can say Dak is not a playmaker or nothing but a glorified game manager back up but let’s get some common sense into this

I am sorry but if you end up leading the league in QB ratings then while that is not a guarantee you will be a great QB for the rest of your career that is an indicator of what you can do if you have the right pieces around you

some examples   If Clark does t make that great catch is Montana some how less great   If Tyree doesn’t make an impossible  catch Eli doesn’t get one of his rings   If that stupid GB TE doesn’t some how keep his toe from going out of bounds Did Rogers make a less great play

No of course I am not comparing Dak to Rogers or Montana but they still needed players at the other end of their greatness

123/246 59.3 136 yards game 12 TD 12 int   76 QBR

311/459 67.7 yard 239 yards game 23 TD 4 int  104.9 QBR

above Trent Dilfer game manager winning superbowl year with Ravens

bellow Dak Prescott play making  QB and Q Carter could only dream of ever having numbers like that

Just remember also N Fowles looked terrible until he took over a 1 loss Philly team then with the proper pieces around him, he could do no wrong

even the greatest QB needs the players around them to perform

sense T Smith got injured last year the players around Dak are not performing even close to good enough on a regular basis so lighten up

so much logic on a board with so much blind emotional hate.

I said it before. Most of the so called non believers/haters on Dak have some if not a lot of emotional baggage left over about Dak beating out Romo. Maybe some don't even see it in themselves. Dak is battling so hard to make plays and/or win. I love that in him. He's a great leader. BUT he needs help.

Romo had some of the greatest weapons of any Dallas QB ever. Yet, despite his so called "great QBing" even Romo could only muster 8 and 8 for quite a few seasons. Was it Romo's fault? No, I don't believe that. There is really only one common denominator then and now.

Dak needs to be more accurate, period.

We need better receivers. We need Frederick back, we need William's to continue to develop. We need Linehan to not suck like a cheap hooker or just be gone, same with Garrett, we need the coaches to stick to the run game to help out Dak, we need better safety help, we need better TEs. We need Jerry to sell this team. We need alot of things. Dak has his problems, so do alot of others. I saw things last night I was even critical of LVE who is now neck and neck with Jaylon as my favorite current Cowboy. But the problems are there.

We pretty much know what we have with Dak, we just need to see a little more. The decision we have to make now is whether or not we are willing to live with his cons vs his pros to build a SB team. I think we could personally, SBs have been won with lesser players and Dak has showed alot of mental fortitude these previous weeks. H/e I am still set that we need a new HC and OC, only problem is, is that if Dak does well and we still hobble to another 8-8 record. That could be enough of a justification by Jerry to keep everyone where they are at, JG and SL included. H/e if we fall to a 4-12 record again. There will be a change in coaching and more then likely Dak will join them.

I'm coming to believe Both Dak and Garrett's fates are intertwined where either both stay or both go.

Quick fix? Stop this WR rotation nonsense. Stick with Thompson, Hurns, and Beasley. Coaches film on the NFL Pass show the WRs are getting OPEN. However, Dak needs familiarity with certain players and not different players coming in and out etc...stick with the ones he has a feel for. Connor Williams is the weak point on the OLINE. He is a target for interior DTs. Should we shelf him till next year? Get him in the weight room and increase his strength? Dak has 11 more games to go to show he is a franchise QB. Everything else is on the draft; trade; and FA.

Maybe if Dak didn't have to throw to a 5 foot 9 converted kick return specialist as a wide receiver that would have been a completion.

Excuses, it’s not just Austin

Well for the sake of argument, you'd probably say Romo was a more accurate passer. Well if that's true why would the Cowboys be 8 and 8 for many years? Why were they without a playoff win for all but one game in his career? There are so many problems with the Dallas Cowboys before and afterDak got here and yet you say it's daks accuracy. period.

Like like that's the only problem. The problems for Dallas is far far greater than a few pinpoint passes

What does romo have to due with daks inability to be accurate or consistent?

what does romo have to do with being the second or third worst passing offense in the nfl

what receiver has prospered with dak?

Because you blame Dax accuracy issues with the reason the Cowboys are at this current state. You are way over blowing Dax accuracy issue and not looking at the big picture.

I’m absolutely blaming dak for being one of the worst passing offenses in the nfl as it’s his job to throw accurate, catchable balls, consistently

Im actually arguing that from a fundamental level, it doesn’t matter who the receiver is or who the coordinator is when the qb can do what he is supposed to do
