jsthomp2007
DT To Philly for a draft pick would be good, especially if Philly continues to plummet. Or, DT for Wentz, straight up!!
iLikeDefense
On NBC Pro Football Talk, Peter King made a theoretical trade between us and NO: CHJ for 1st rd 2020 picks I wouldn’t do it. CHJ means so much from a culture and playing aspect. He also suggested DT to NE, I’d hate to see DT in a pats uni haha but I’d do the trade for cap relief and more Sutton playing time. Plus 2020 you devalue an extra round for waiting. If we trade Harris it’s because we are blown away. Roby should be the target a 4th (because CB is so scarce it’s possible he gets a top 12 contract in FA so end of 4th 2020 comp pick is reasonable to hope for but not a given) should be our target. DT & Roby I’d look for trades as a real shot. Marshall I’m not hopeful on at all. Elway would get a ton of credit if he can find a buyer there given the $. Maybe Tampa could be convinced at 3-3 to try and replace Kwon Alexander (ACL) but still very iffy given the $.
broncofan48
I realize intra-divisonal trades are rare but I would love to see Denver take a run at Conley from Oakland. He's in Gruden's doghouse and they are blowing it up. Would allow for Roby to walk during the offseason, have an up and comer to pair with CHJ and allows for a lot more flexibility in the top end of the draft

He makes his own rules. I would love to make a run for Conley, but only at a buy-low cost draft pick wise, or for one of our aging vets. I would love to roll the dice on Conley for Roby and avoid paying him. If we deal CHJ we may as well deal Von. It would be a signal that we are doing an OAK style tank job. You cant clean house of all talent and hope for a Philadelphia 76'ers type rebuild in the NFL IMO. You need to keep talent around to instill a quality culture, its just too much of a team sport to tank. Thats whats so erronous w/ the OAK tank job. The NFL isnt as much of a superstar driven game as the NBA, where tanking almost always makes sense. Unless you are heading into a draft w/ a once-in-a-generation QB, which this year is certainly not.

It’s bad from a PR perspective given his college issues. Just dumb to get into that situation. But let’s hear the actual events. Big diff from being drunk and in wrong place like neighbors yard 3 houses down vs. something more sinister like DV.

Yeah more info is needed. 1st degree criminal trespass is a felony so it must be kind of serious

Robbie Anderson of the Jets got that treatment recently and didn’t even get a NFL penalty (even though he had a prior run in with no charges laid). Easier to start high and go down than the other way. The police report should be more informative.
1234567
I'm betting he got smashed and went into the wrong house. I've actually done that before lol. Still not smart of him to put himself in that situation to begin with. Especially right in the middle of the season. He should have more importan things on his mind right now than getting blitzed at Halloween parties.

Once in college a buddy went into the wrong house, it was snowing and the home owner came into his living room to find this cold soaking wet drunk guy. Buddy tried to fight him when the owner offered him a towel and a couch cause he thought the dude was trespassing into his house. He Had a class with the guy later and heard the whole story with no recollection on his end haha

Broncofan
It’s already down to 2nd degree trespassing. Basically drunk and wrong house. Ran out no violence except he got whacked by the owner with a vacuum cleaner hose (lol). No DV angle. Which seems very likely to get plead down to misdemaeanor or dropped altogether. He’s got to be smarter and DEN has to suspend him or make him inactive 1-2 games to show this won’t be tolerated if he’s going to be our long term starter. But looks like most benign explanation. https://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/crime/broncos-backup-quarterback-chad-kelly-arrested-on-second-degree-trespassing-charges
