TecmoSuperJoe
This presents an interesting hypothetical. Maybe the Eagles shouldn't have been so salty about Burress wanting to go to the Michigan State game. Since at least in hindsight, those early Eagles team could have really used someone like Burress at receiver. Corey Simon was a good pick that helped make that Eagles defense a fierce unit, but I feel like the bigger need was clearly at WR. And to add insult to injury, Burress terrorized the Eagles for a few years when he became a Giant. And got a ring. I think the Eagles clearly took the L here even if they did get a productive player in Simon.

7DnBrnc53
SB 24 NFL Primetime: In my opinion, the biggest blowout in SB history. I don't think that the Broncos believed that they had a chance in this game from the start.
TecmoSuperJoe
Oilers got some good production from their running backs from the late 80's to early 90's. Mike Rozier, Lorenzo White, and Gary Brown all at least had one 1000 yard season.
TecmoSuperJoe
1982 NFC Wild Card Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-4) at Dallas Cowboys (6-3) Sunday Jan 9, 1983 Start Time: 4:00pm Stadium: Texas Stadium The Buccaneers traveled to Dallas for a playoff game for the second straight season. Previously, the Buccaneers were shut out 38-0 as the Cowboys completely dominated from the second quarter onward. This year the game was much closer, and even the final score of this one was a bit misleading. Both teams were up and down a good amount of the afternoon, but Dallas ultimately prevailed. Dallas in the end put up over 400 yards of offense, and 28 first downs despite 3 turnovers along with eating 5 sacks. The Buccaneers offense really put their defense in tough spots due to an inability to move the ball, and 3 turnovers themselves. All in all a decent game, and much better than the season prior. Buccaneers linebacker Hugh Green has one of the nuttiest pick-six plays you'll ever see early. This would be the last playoff game for the Buccaneers until the 1997 season. This was also the last game QB Doug Williams played as a Buccaneer. Edited May 3, 2021 by TecmoSuperJoe

TecmoSuperJoe
Imagine getting a player like Richard Dent in the 8th round. Or rather now, he would be an UDFA. Remarkable how he just fell through the cracks in the 1983 draft. As for this video, I'm guessing the Bears chuckled at Dent's threat to sit out the Super Bowl. Imagine doing that, and your team winning, and you don't get to celebrate with them. Or them losing, and then dealing with the fallout that you could have been a difference maker. TecmoSuperJoe
Hilarious that the Redskins had the second best odds to win the Super Bowl following the 1999 offseason. All based on hype.
