1994 Week 5 Philadelphia Eagles (2-1) at San Francisco 49ers (3-1)

Sunday Oct 2, 1994
Start Time: 4:00pm
Stadium: Candlestick Park
Attendance: 64,771

The star-studded 1994 49ers get stomped at home against the surging Philadelphia Eagles to the tune of a 40-8 demolition. This is the game where Steve Young got pulled near the end of the third quarter causing him to bust a pipe at his head coach George Seifert. 49ers of course turned it around afterward on their way to become champs while the Eagles hit a 7-9 nosedive following a 7-2 start. Head coach Rich Kotite was fired following the implosion.

1975 AFC Championship Oakland Raiders (12-3) at Pittsburgh Steelers (13-2)
Sunday Jan 4, 1976
Start Time: 1:00pm
Stadium: Three Rivers Stadium

The top two teams in the AFC met on a brisk January Sunday to see who would get their ticket stamped to Miami for Super Bowl X. For the fourth straight postseason the Steelers and Raiders knuckled up against one another. Despite the conditions, and the sloppy play from both teams, the contest went down the wire.

1998 Week 7 Green Bay Packers (4-1) at Detroit Lions (1-4)

Thursday Oct 15, 1998
Start Time: 8:15pm
Stadium: Pontiac Silverdome
Attendance: 77,932

Sunday night brawl between to longtime division foes going in opposite directions towards the middle of the season. Lions usually gave Brett Favre and the Packers trouble in the Silverdome, and that certainly was apparent in this day. Barry Sanders had a stellar performance along with an inspired Lions defense.

2001 Week 11 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5) at St. Louis Rams (8-1)

Monday Nov 26, 2001
Start Time: 9:10pm
Stadium: Dome at America's Center
Attendance: 66,198
Time of Game: 3:10

Third straight year the Rams and Buccaneers get together for a high profile brawl. As with the other meetings before, and after, this was a close battle. Really think this is actually an underrated rivalry in NFL history. Wasn't around long, but it was always exciting during the time both squads were NFC heavyweights.

Story didn't end here. He played for the San Antonio Gunslingers after the Express. After not being paid for 3 games, he tailed the owner, Clinton Manges, to his house. Fields, with a baseball bat in hand, confronted the owner outside his front door; demanded pay and received $17,000 cash from the owner, then drove off.
