DoleINGout
CALVIN RIDLEY! At 23, they took Isaiah Wynn, and God Bless his Achilles, but the man was not who we were expecting to be selected there, especially with Sir Ridley sitting on the board. Instead, good ol' Tom Dimitroff with the Falcons went and took Calvin at pick 26 and now the rook is putting up huge numbers with Julio Jones triple covered. This looks like a huge mistake for 2018. Brady and Belichick another year into their careers and Wynn on the sidine after not participating even before the draft due to medical concerns with his shoulder. Now Wynn is hurt and we get to watch Ridley go off. Imagine how special this offense would be with Ridley out there instead of Chris Hogan? The offensive line has been fine for most of the season without Wynn and I think the Patriots really overthought this pick. Hopefully we can trade Wynn straight up for Ridley week 2 of next year. ? AlNFL19
I think Julian Edelman, Josh Gordon, and Rob Gronkowski will play just fine.

I haven't seen Ridley's hamstrings enough to comment on them specifically but they don't seem like anything out of the ordinary.
Hunter2_1
It's not our MO. We don't invest high capital into WRs. Check the salary brackets for our WRs. Falcons are the best team for him, they're geared up for Ridleys and Jones's etc. I suspect we would have taken one of those linebackers (LVE, RE) if they hadn't been selected
Deadpulse
What a deep rabbit hole to go down. Every team can play this game in any draft. There is always a guy every other team could of had but passed on in every draft that turns out to be a stud. No use imagining, its all you'd do. Spooky
The draft is an absolute crapshoot. Like @Deadpulse said, we can play this game with every draft. Patriots have taken receivers high and they have never worked out. Hindsight is 20/20 when it comes to things this and even then, weird timing on this post after the Patriots offense has looked great the past two games. Edelman being back opens up so much for this offense. Ridley would definitely be nice to have but lets pump the breaks a little bit, it's been 4 games. Apparition
At the time of the draft: -Julian Edelman had not yet been suspended -Jordan Matthews and Kenny Britt were still on the team -Malcolm Mitchell was expected to come back healthy And basically nobody here considered WR a 1st round need, even with Cooks and Amendola out of the picture. SBLIII
Wynn will be valuable next season imo. Personally think he takes a starting spot.
Soko
Should’ve taken Darius Leonard. Or Antonio Brown. Or Justin Houston. Or Bobby Wagner. Or Alvin Kamara. Or Andrew Norwell. Or Chris Harris. Or [insert any good player picked after Patriots’ first pick in any draft]. It happens.
