Green19
Not shocked... Green Bay for the last 4-5 season starts out this way all the time. This offense takes 5/6 weeks to “find itself “ and in doing so drops very winnable games. get Cobb and Allison back it should look better.

SSG
Would love to see the all 22 of today's game to see if our issues in the passing game were the result of AR12 being stubborn (or missing) or a bad game by the rookie WRs. I remember one play where MVS was wide open but I don't recall many like it. Only watched the game once but I wasn't overly impressed with the rookies when the game was still meaningful. Was a pretty ugly game in all 3 aspects IMO. Defense had some moments but I thought Detroit took the pedal off the gas in the second half
LacyIsGood
The offense looks better when the QB throws the ball. The young receivers look fast, so they should be thrown the ball more often.

skibrett15
Feels pretty safe to chalk this one up to Mason Crosby and the Rodgers fumbles. Put the call out there during the offseason that Crosby is an average kicker and one of the most overpaid guys on the team. No kicker (maaaaybe Justin Tucker, maybe) is worth that. Most of the responses are that Crosby is worth 1 win by himself. Well, today he's worth a loss. Actually, he was never worth a win or a loss. Kickers almost never are since you replace them with a player who can kick at an NFL level. Ready for CWood to reply that for saving money to be worth it, you have to spend that money somewhere, so find someone to spend it on and there's no pass rushers for $4M. K. Norm
Ah yes, the old kickers and punters aren't important and they are all identical and never win or lose games argument. You'd think our absurd level of crap punting for a while after Ryan would have made us realize specialists are worth it.
KFP7
If the Packers can quit making so many stupid mistakes then they will be fine. They moved the ball at will and the defense held against an offense that has a lot of weapons. If Crosby hits his field goals we are sitting at 4-1. Hopefully he doesn't have another one of his slumps (was that 2013?) where he sucks for an entire year. The big problem I see is that our schedule is about to get brutal after the bye. We really needed this win.
MacReady
This was the type of game where Gute needs to make a move to show he gives a damn about this season. Or McCarthy. Trade for a pass rusher. I don't want to give up on this season yet. Something has to change. Can't just beat up on the Niners next week and expect everything to be okay. Packerraymond
Watching Stearns and Counsell work makes me dislike what's going on here more and more. They're so in sync, I don't see that with Mac. More and more I'm feeling like Gute needs to find the guy he wants to lead this team to it all. That's no knock on what Mac accomplished here, but it might be time to move forward.

Yes Crosby's misses were bad but so was an offense that couldn't get into the end zone in the first half. You need your Kicker to be perfect when you've got an offense that can't score points themselves. Our first half offense today was every bit as bad as Crosby today. Good kickers miss kicks, bad kickers make kicks. The fact that they happen to make or miss a game winning/losing FG doesn't really speak to their value as a player at all. They just happened to be on a team that put them into that high leverage kicking situation. Crosby has had his issues, and overcome them in the past. He'll probably overcome them and return to being an average or slightly above average kicker like he was in '15 and '16. Or maybe he'll be a below average kicker like he was in '17 and '10 and his rookie deal. Either way, he'll be way overpaid.

What quality pass rushers are on the market? Maybe Fowler in Jacksonville? Chandler Jones in Arizona perhaps though he's got a hefty contract that GB would have to account for taking on. Just so difficult trying to acquire guys who get after the QB because teams just aren't trading those kinds of players generally lol I think GB's OLB situation is screwed for this season personally. This is their group and whatever additions they maybe make aren't any kind of difference maker that changes the bottom line.
