Revelations? Where you were Desmond Miles in present day and we’re stuck on the animus island and had to do those obnoxious first person puzzles?

Yeah, that was it.  Got stuck on one of those puzzles and never finished it.

Revelations was my least fav AC game. But you can get it on modern consoles with the trilogy pack that has ACII, Brotherhood, and Revelations remaster

Is there much more to this than there was in Origins? I liked Origins a lot, but toward the end it started getting really repetitive, and this just looks like more of the same with a few tweaks and a new setting.

Assassins Creed really needs to be every-other-year, because even if they're usually good games, they just aren't different enough to warrant a $60 purchase.

Origins was great last year because there was a break and it really changed things up quite a bit.

It does give you the option to change different story lines with how you answer certain things but other than that, there really isn’t a difference.

Would Origins or this one be a good jumping in point for the series? Or has that ship sailed?

Honestly my first AC wasn’t until AC3 but I did go back and play the old ones just because I liked AC3 that much. I don’t think you need to play Origins before Odyssey.

Origins. Restarts the modern day stuff from 0 since they resolved all of the Juno/Desmond Miles stuff in an official comic book (yes, really) after Syndicate bombed. You can jump in from Origins where it has a new modern day protagonist and starts the series canon over again.

I still can't stand any of the modern stories and I hate that the animus exists in the game universe. I think all the games would be better if they were strictly historical period setting with no modern angle at all.

I ended up picking up Origins used from Redbox earlier this week and I've been enjoying it. Combat definitely takes some getting used to but I love using the heavy blunt weapons, even if they'res nothing assassin-y about it.

I agree. I still don't understand why the modern day is necessary. No one i've talked to even liked the modern day storyline all that much. The fact that the movie spent so much time in modern day was LOL worthy. Origins and Odyssey spend so little time in modern day its a wonder they even bothered.

I like it as a little framing device for the story, but I hate playing those segments. They just take you out of whatever is going on - and to be honest, I don't even really pay much attention to the story in these games. I skip most of the cutscenes.

I don’t much care for modern stuff after they axed Desmond but I’m still glad it’s there so it keeps on carrying the assassins creed series story.

I think I was prompting my character to have gay sex with this healer dude and it was going along according to plan until I told him he needs to kill his grandma and he refused and I called him a coward and he sprinted off into the mountains and did not have gay sex then I Spártā kicked his grandma off the ledge but she survived. Having sexual relations is hard in this game so I’m open to anyone and anything. I’ve only successfully had sexual relations with an 80 year old woman and that was only cause the viagra elixir I concocted didn’t help her husband enough and he was very grateful for my tag in charity.

This was a great read, thank you.
