Week 7, Bengals-Chiefs flexed to Sunday night

The key for the Bengals to winning this game revolves around their ability to run the football. Possession, methodical tempo, churn out positive runs and maintain time-consuming drives. Keep the ball away from Mahomes and co. It's not a team you want to get into a passing shootout with because it's a fight you will likely lose.

Everyone keeps saying this but it would take a monumental upset for the Bengals to get there considering their last playoff win was over two decades ago and they would indeed need to win 1 game atleast to get there

Is it possible the Bengals opponents could all just lose all the way to the championship game? Sort of like what happened in the Simpsons?

I don’t know that that history is relevant. Jacksonville is the only other team which looks like a potential championship game contender. So the Bengals being there is certainly very possible.

We had 2 secondary players get hurt yesterday and our coverage LB.  Likely all 3 miss the Chiefs game.  We gonna get smoked unless Dalton can keep up with Mahomes...on the road...on SNF...

Another shootout on the way then. Two injured defenses who probably weren't going to get many stops anyway.

Joe Flacco/Blake Bortles knock off the Pats and Steelers and the Bengals beat them.

We're not beating the Patriots though.  Any team that has a QB/receiving group that can hit open receivers in zone coverage destroys us.  We have the worst zone defense in the NFL.  Our LBs suck, and our corners outside of WJIII suck.  Patriots against the Bengals would be closer than the Chiefs/Bengals matchup, but we're still losing by 15-20 points...
