patriotsheatyan Posted October 14, 2018 Share Posted October 14, 2018 It seems like a lot of the time when a defense is worn down late in the game and called exhausted, all they need is a big play and suddenly they have all of their energy back. Soko Posted October 14, 2018 Share Posted October 14, 2018 It depends. There are plenty of instances where each have occurred IMO. I’ve seen defenses get obliterated in the TOP battle and they look completely gassed by the end of the game. I’ve also seen defenses that don’t spend too much time on the field but are dogging it in a losing effort. I’d wager it’s a happy combo of both. Shady Slim Posted October 14, 2018 Share Posted October 14, 2018 i think the mental side of it comes in to play a lot when facing guys like rodgers or brady when “it starts to happen again” against chicago for example, when rodgers got in to gear and started doing his thing i can guarantee some of the bears defenders were beginning to think “oh here we go it’s happening again...” and it would’ve delivered a real blow to their mentality, which then would have enabled of course rodgers to really keep it up Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
