The 2018 Playoff Hunt is on!

One thing we need to remember is that with a tie, tiebreakers probably won't pertain to us.  Of course falling multiple games behind both the Saints and the Rams probably doesn't make our cause look any better.

We seem to play better on the road this year anyway.

Despite being in last place, the Bears still have a better chance to make the playoffs than the Vikings...57.9% - 52.8%.

By that method, but by this method it isn't even close with the Vikings at 68% to make the playoffs compared to the Bears 28%.

I think, if the Vikings were healthy (and some players and coaches were to engage their brains better) I think they would be running with the Rams in the NFC.  Yet, I think this will be an AFC year.  The Chiefs and the stupid Patriots are the class of the NFL right now.

I still have little faith that the Chiefs will succeed in the playoffs.  They, like the '98 Vikings, are going to find trouble in the playoffs with a defense that bad...and the defense is that bad.  I'm not sure which player is their Jimmy Hitchcock, but I'm certain they have a couple of them.

I actually have more faith in the Chargers.  I think they're going to be dangerous if they make the playoffs.  They're already experienced in road games, since they play 16 of them.  :D

That's a really interesting comp

In the playoffs we'll need to travel to LA, but at least we'll have fairer rest

I like the Vikings' chances if they have to go back to LA.

The 2018 season isn’t even half over, but the Rams are close to having an overwhelming lead for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

At 8-0, the Rams have the best record in football. The second-best record in the NFC belongs to the 6-1 Saints, and the Rams visit New Orleans this week. With a win, the Rams would have a 2.5-game lead and the head-to-head tiebreaker advantage, and it would be very, very tough to envision anyone catching them.

I feel like any hopes for a first-round bye are over. Too much ground to make up. That's not the end of the world though!

Agreed.  The goal is now just to win the division and get a home game in the WC round.  Then, we'll take our chances either at NO/Car or LA.
