It's just...signing the guy in the first place, only to change their mind and do a trade instead a week later and cut him. Just start to get Charles up to speed, and they take on a different project getting Hyde up to speed instead. And even still, when it comes to RBs we've not got: -1 injured guy. -1 guy who is banged up and can't carry a workhorse load. -1 guy who is brand new and won't have the full playbook in his repertoire by Sunday. -1 guy who is also new and probably sucks. They're literally fresh off a situation where they thought they had plenty of depth, and then they didn't...at all, and had to go out and make a bunch of moves to shore up depth. The only thing that'd make any sense to me, is if Charles basically went to them and asked to be released if he's not going to be a feature back.
