You misunderstood.

1983 was the last time I took one.

It didn't work.

No I believe you misunderstood.

You claimed once you start taking prescription meds you cannot stop.

I said that statement makes sense as you had taken some back in 83 and now for the past 37 years have been unable to stop taking them.

For anyone uneducated and on the fence, this is 100% nonsense.

I think I have shared this before but even if so it is worth a repeat.

My wife's family on both sides is full of people who slavishly follow their doctors' advice re presciption medicines.

Some years ago we were in one of their homes in the Southside of Chicago for a funeral.

I went into the bathroom to find some toothpaste as I had none.

There was a medicine cabinet that had to be 3 feet high and 4 feet wide with 3 panels.

I opened the first one on the left and saw prescription vials side-to-side, top to bottom.

Went to the middle one and saw the same thing.

The one on the left also was full of them.

Freaked me out.

I was biased against prescription meds before that but resolved against them after what I saw.

Your body apparently isn’t able to kick that high blood pressure thing, though.

It could I am sure if I quit smoking, eased up on drink and altered my diet.

That's not my body's failures, but mine.

Perhaps if they hadn’t you’d have been there sooner for other funerals....

So if your body can naturally heal itself from all ailments why would people need glasses.

Or did you add ophthalmologists to your "respected" list because it doesn't fit your narrative?

This sounds like Yossarian's cross-examination in Catch 22.

Ah, now you are talking biomechanical vs. disease.

"The bottom line is that I have a lot of faith in my body's ability to develop cures for things that ail me."

Would eyesight not ail you much like high blood pressure/diabetes/cancer/etc?

Not sure how there is a difference.

mfw I can’t stop taking prescription meds but I quit them and then didn’t take them for 35 years

mfw I don’t trust prescription meds but then started taking one because I believe it works

He doesn't believe people need prescription meds if they just live a clean and healthy lifestyle with no imbalances.

Much like Steve Jobs healing himself from a very treatable form of cancer with diet & exercise.
