T+1. They're both outstanding fits for both what Carr likes in his receivers and the scheme we run

Signing a couple quality starters at receiver would lessen the burden on the team finding quality receiver talent in the draft, too. I figure signing 2 starting caliber veterans plus drafting at least one receiver between rounds 3 and 5 would be a good start at rebuilding the group.

Yep. And if all goes well defensively, we use one of our 1sts on a #1 WR in the draft next year imo.

Soo what do the cowboys do?

They have Demarcus Lawrence on the franchise tag. They got cooper for 14mil next year and a big contract after that. Zeke is going to get a 5th year option then be due a big contract. Dak is a free agent. Byron Jones is coming up. The OL is gunna be due new contracts soon.

Do they let Lawerence walk this year? And do we show interest if he does?!

I doubt they make the same mistake Oakland did. Lawrence is a star. Dak is average. People need to stop overrating QBs. You can plug any 2nd Round QB in Daks spot.

No you couldn’t. I mean you could, but your team would be much worse.

Dak is an above aveage QB. I consider him a little bit better than Carr because of his pocket presence and mobility. If Dak goes down, the Cowboys’ playoff chances go down with him. If Lawrence goes down, the Cowboys are still in it. It’s very uncommon to see a Wentz/Foles situation like last year.

Yes. For the right amount of money.

No one wants to go to Oakland But  Las Vegas is a different story.

All the business opportunities in the casinos meet and greet for thousands of dollars, zero taxes, low cost of Real estate

The "no one wants to come here" doesn't hold up, especially when you consider the team will be playing in Nevada with no state tax. Think of how many top-tier free agents the Jaguars signed before being considered a good team last year (Bouye, Campbell, Jackson, Thomas, Gipson).

You are operating under flawed logic here. You make total sense but it's about what Jerry thinks above all.

I will call it that D-Law is the one left out cuz Jerry thinks he has his Aikman, Emmitt, and Irvin in Dak, Zeke, and Coop.

And yes, he LOVES Dak that much. He will sign a bigger deal than Carr did.

Zeke will be resigned cuz he's the engine that runs the car. Plus he'll be the cheapest of the 4.

He gave up a 1st for Coop and he adores WRs. Already has publicly talk about signing him to an extension.

Carr got paid after 2016 when he was an MVP candidate. Dak isn't even close to that conversation. That's the difference. They should build around everyone else imo because he isn't worth the contract. Carr hasn't been worth his, but at the time when he got paid, he was balling. Dak now < Carr back then. Which is why I agree they shouldn't pay him. I don't think its a given they can replace him easily but they need to cut cost somewhere and he's the weakest link. Maybe they can find a rookie. Maybe they can find a vet on a short term deal. Idk.

Lol you people arent getting it. It doesnt matter what he is to the outside world. Jerry sees him as a franchise QB and thats all that matters.

Somehow I feel like its equally ok to speculate on how a team should plan ahead and not just on how they will. No?

Yes. Im just saying tho. Jerry has emphatically stated that Dak is the QBOTF and he will be signed to an extension soon.

I think the cost cut will honestly be D-Law. It's a dumb move imo but Dak's his new Aikman, Zeke's his new Emmitt, and Coop's his new Irvin who he already gave up a large asset for. I haven't heard a thing about a long term deal with Lawrence and the Jones' have already stated publicly that Dak and Coop are priority extensions they wanna get done. And Zeke obvi will get his too.

It has to be Lawrence cuz a 25+ mil QB, a 15 mil RB, and 15-20 mil WR are gonna make it mighty hard to ink a 20 mil DE too. Byron Jones is another who's turned the corner in his career and might even get away.

If it were me, my priority would honestly be Zeke, Lawrence, Coop, Dak, then Jones.

I think Jerry's is Dak, Coop, Zeke, D-Law, then Jones tho
