We have Ertz/Goedert/Alshon for any real clutch 10/15 yards we need...someone who can help open that up and go downfield will be much welcomed. Broncofan Posted October 30, 2018 Share Posted October 30, 2018 Whoever pays a 3rd for DT should be fired next offseason. Frankly, I'd be thrilled with a 4th, and I'd be happy with a 5th. And I say that with nothing but love & respect for what DT has done, and still believe he'd definitely help a team as a possession/box-out/route runner. I have 2 fears with Elway here: 1. He overplays his hand, and a team like SF trades Garçon for much cheaper, and we're left holding the bag. And just have to cut him at season's end, and all the while taking reps that should be going to Sutton in the X and DeSean Hamilton in 3-WR sets. 2. The Pats leverage Elway into trading DT for a 8-10 pick move up in Rd 3-4, like they always seem to do on Deadline Day. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
