Lions:

1. Frank Ragnow- G: Has started every game and been solid. Still think he's better suited as a C, but he's played well, solidifying the LT-LG-C trio of our OL.

2. Kerryon Johnson- RB: Has shown flashes of brillance. Still not utilized properly by JBC but he's growing as a receiver as well as our best and most consistent RB.

3. Tracy Walker III-S: Inconsistent and has a long way to go for being worthy of a 3rd rd pick. Being Slays cousin got him drafted this early.

4. Da'Shawn Hand-DL: Grading out as the best rookie DL in the NFL. Fits like a glove in our new hybrid defense. Will benefit playing next to Snacks.

5. Tyrell Crosby- OT: Has barely played with two established guys ahead of him. Reportedly being groomed to take over for Wagner at RT sooner than later.

7. Nick Bawden- FB: Got injured and lost his spot to Nick Bellore. Cut from the team.

1 - Isaiah WynnIR

1 - Sony Michel: Slow start, but is looking like one of the most valuable pieces on our offense already. He's a very good blend of power and agility. We need him back.

2 - Duke Dawson: IR

5 - JaWhaun Bentley: Thought he was just going to be an even slower Ragland, but he surprised us. Made plays, looked reliable, was our best LB when he went on....IR

6 - Christian Sam: IR

6 - Braxton Berrios: IR

7 - Danny Etling: P.S.

7 - Keion Crossen: Deep in the pecking order. Not much time.

7 - Ryan Izzo: IR

So yeah, a really great class.

RJ Mcintosh just recently got cleared back to practice after a long absence due to a medical condition that he had surgery for (think it was a thyroid condition? It's kind a mystery at this point. It may be embarrassing so that's why RJ doesn't want to talk about it). We will see if he is activated off the NFI list soon so he can get some game action. I don't see why he wouldn't; the season is lost and all game experience is good experience. He didn't even practice all preseason, so no way to know how he is.

RJ went to my HS.

Any of the IR guys projected to join the team before the end of the season?

Izzo was placed on IR prior to the 4pm deadline on September 2nd because the Patriots needed to clear up another roster spot for the 2 WR’s they had claimed off of waivers, thus he’s not eligible to return. Berrios and Sam never even made the 53 man roster, and thus are ineligible to return. Bentley has a torn biceps, so he's done. So I don't think so, no.

I liked Izzo a lot at FSU. He's more than the blocking TE that people projected him as. He's maid a myriad of nice plays in the passing game. He's got nice hands and coordination. Very functional athleticism despite the NFL combine times.
