I get it, it's a logical move to make if they weren't going to bring him back. Honestly, I don't know that removing Tate from the equation really makes them any more or less likely to make the playoffs. I think they are still going to do pretty well in that regard with Jones and Golladay on the outside. Wish they had a more reliable tight end to take over the middle of the field, but maybe they are planning on starting to trust Johnson more, which could also help.
