Week 9 GDT: The BOSA BOWL - The BAY'S battle of the TANKS

This game echos in memories of those days not so long past, Texans vs 49ers in 2006, the 49ers and Raiders are in a race to the bottom. The Niners have fumbled their way to the bottom, in hopes the season will turn itself over faster. The raiders coaching staff seems to be sabotaging their team with questionable decisions late in games in addition to trading away players who will command new contracts because their owner lost all of his money in a drunken night in Vegas.

Last year we won THE TOSS which ended up netting us Mike McGlinchey. He has been a very very solid player in year one, while Kolton Miller has had some serious struggles. The raiders were absolutely going to take McGlinchey in the event we didn't.

Thankfully Jed York rebuffed any notion that these two teams would share a stadium, and frankly I am happy they are leaving the bay.

My prediction: 49ers defense gives up some big plays, 49ers offense turns the ball over, Raiders do their best to give us the game late after leading most of the game, but ultimately CJ Beathard proves his worth as CAPTAIN TANKER

Vegas Line: SF -3, Over/Under 47.5

Tank, thou hideous cursed teams,

ever shorn of heaven's light

Defeat welcomes all within

to the bowels of its wretched home

Its mechinations tear asunder

what did the draft* once forcibly bind

Every man becomes a suspect

where its venomous wings abide

Be embrac’d, ye dozens yonder! Take this failure throughout the world! Brothers—after the season unfurl’d Must reside a glorious draft pick.

1. And free agency

Not going to lie, kind of want to see Mullens in there just for the shenanigans if he performs well against what is one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Most fans would have like no context and the rabid cries for Mullens to continue would be deafening.

NFL Gen updated the top 5 / bottom 5 rankings from PFF for players.

No surprise for us.

Kittle & Juice are good (3rd and 2nd at their positions, respectively)

And a whole lot of people are not (Cassius Marsh in bottom 5 of edge rushers, Reuben Foster bottom 7, Adrian Colbert was the worst graded safety and it's by a significant margin. His grade is a 31.7, while the next lowest is 16 points higher at a 47...that's just bad. Biggest difference between worst and second worst grade for a position in all of football)

Feel like the Raiders +3  and the under have to be two of the easier plays this week - particularly if you can get this now and Mullens ends up starting. May be a little closer with CJ.
