I'll take your word for it but vibe I get its Football is king, then Baseball with Basketball as close 3rd to Baseball

Football is king, but basketball has a pretty rich tradition here, too - Hakeem Olaijuwon, David Robinson, Clyde Drexler, Dirk Nowitzki, Yao Ming, Tony Parker, Tim Duncan - they all generated a lot of positive press for the city and state.

Baseball is a recent boom, strictly due to the rise of the Astros - the Rangers can barely draw a crowd nowadays, but the roles were reversed in the 90s between baseball and basketball. The Olaijuwon led Rockets were the talk of the state, with Hakeem outdueling the likes of Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Shaquille O'Neal (Orlando Magic days) Karl Malone/John Stockton, etc. A (still popular) discussion is whether or not the Olaijuwon Rockets would have completed against the Bulls if Jordan wasn't suspended in that time (because, that's exactly what was going on...)

Were the Rockets really the talk of the state when Cowboys were on a dynasty and Oilers were a good to great team during those time

Agreed.  Plus, the CFL wouldn't be too fond of that.

Canada is a no-go for any NFL team...Buffalo's attempts to build a fanbase in Toronto proved that.  Mexico City, yes...Canada absolutely not.

Buffalo's attempt to build a fanbase in Toronto ? With what? We had 2 back to back years where the sum total of TD's by the final 2 years of matchups was 1 touchdown.

Yeah thats great entertainment. The NFL put a mediocre product in Toronto, and we Canadians aren't suckers.

Bring real infrastructure to passionate football fans in Canada. We don't need your third class mediocre set-up.

Toronto is one of the most energetic cities in North America. Who do you think you are to bring that kinda stuff here ?

I'd say so - Olaijuwon v Robinson the night they named Robinson MVP is still talked about by fans of both teams. Olaijuwon v Ewing is another big talking point (in more than basketball, too - the game was simulcasted with the LAPD "chase" of OJ Simpson back then, it was one of the most interesting days in sports history).

The Cowboys had their run and got a ton of press, sure - but the Oilers were starting up the beginning of the end in Houston, fans grew tired of the on and off field drama of the Oilers and started to voice their grief when Bud Adams started to bark about wanting a new stadium...

Outside of Houston, did people in Texas care much about Olajuwon and Rockets, in contrast to the Cowboys during the 90s. Obviously in Houston Rockets are the big thing but I'm not sure outside of that city it was a much of a draw but you were alive during those days so you would know

Unless the league is expanding I don't see any way this happens.

You move the Chargers. They won't last in LA, the problem with home fans being outnumbered will only get worse in the new stadium. The league will be desperate to move them. I suspect the league will prioritise London over San Antonio, but definitely it's a possibility

Football is returning to St. Louis. Reportedly.

According to Frank Cusumano of KDSK-TV in St. Louis, the XFL will be dropping a franchise in the city that the NFL abandoned nearly three years ago.

There you go, St. Louis...you get another chance to see if you can support any football team...even a minor league one.
