This is a very interesting situation. After the Vontae Davis thing earlier in the year, we've seen a few instances this year of guys pulling themselves out. Reshad Jones was seen on the sideline for the rest of the game, without his helmet, but the Dolphins were quick to say it wasn't an injury. Later it was revealed Jones took himself out of the game, but the reason for doing so is unclear at the moment. He may have been unhappy with the new rotation of the defensive backfield introduced in this game to get rookie Minkah Fitzpatrick on the field more.

Without Jones, the Dolphins still enjoyed the best defensive performance of the season, picking off Sam Darnold four times, limiting them to 6 points, and scoring more points in the game than either offense with Baker's pick six.

So, he Le'Veon-ed himself? xD

I'm thinking that if the team wanted to find more snaps for Minkah Fitzpatrick, they just found a spot to get them. No place in the game for trash like this.

If he wasn’t hurt, sick, or something else that isn’t a legit excuse - that’s no bueno.

Wouldn’t have pegged RJ for being that type of guy, but you can’t have a quitter on the team. It was the first quarter against the Jets!
