Darbsk Posted November 5, 2018 Share Posted November 5, 2018 I really have no idea about who will actually be brought back, no-one appears to be safe from the guillotine but these are the guys I'd like to see us now build around or use as depth: QB: Carr - this year has been bad but he's the best QB we've had in a while so worth persevering with RB: Lynch, Richard - Lynch still looks like he has some gas left in the tank, Richard as CoP back WR: Nelson - professional vet to help any drafted receivers TE: Cook, Smith - receiver and blocker OL: Miller, KO, Hudson, Gabe, Parker - to be supplemented with a vet OT and maybe a draft pick DL: Key, Hurst, Ellis, Hall - need desperately to get another pass rusher by draft or FA, hope they keep Brown and Vanderdoes around and see if they have anything to offer as rotation LB: Lee, Morrow - more for depth and as they're cheap, we can draft/sign LBs to challenge for the start CB: Melvin, Worley, Conley - all 3 look decent to me even with no pass rush but Melvin seems almost certainly on his way out, Nelson should be kept around too S: Harris, Joseph - we still don't really know what we have with either Kickers: none - we should just pick up a couple FA vets Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They want to rebuild so I completely blew the team up. I am not saying Carr is doomed but if he does not progress I can see him being the Reggie Nelson of the offense. The new OL coach will still run a ZBS heavy OL scheme, since Gruden needs that for the WCO. With that said I think a quality OL coach can work well in that scheme with KO too. NT: Jelly/Hankins DT: Hurst SLB: Lee CB: Conley and maybe Worley and Melvin...ideally I would like to bring in a veteran guy like Dennard to really battle out that #1 and #2 spot...Melvin could stay if he is on board with the staff. Worley should be back and we see in what capacity. K: Carlson...so far so good, should have a nice competition with Pineiro P: Townsend...looks to get his legs under him after all, still not super convinced, we at least need a veteran for competition LS: Sieg Guys who I would like to see back as depth, rotation QB: McCarron is a solid back up option for us RB: Richard, Washington, Warren TE: Smith WR: Ateman and Nelson if he really wants to stay OL: Silberman, Felciano and I would be open to bring back Penn DE: Key, Brown and Calhoun DT: Hall, Vanderdoes and I would be willing to bring back Jelly even if Hankins is on board as a starter over him LB: Morrow, Cabinda, Wilber...Morrow hopefully get some looks as the starting WLB instead of Whitehead. If he wins over PG, I would be willing to see him as a starter, but I would definately bring him back as depth. Cabinda should make his case in the remaining games, I would keep him as MLB depth for sure, ideally we would upgrade finally the MLB spot. Wilber could stick mainly as a ST guy CB: Nelson should stay and have a chance for a NCB role S: Joseph, Harris...Harris is a core ST player and I would really like to see Karl back...maybe even as a starter if he comes up strong the rest of the way. Already has for 2 offseasons now. Plus catering a blocking scheme to fit him. And now you get a weak RB class in this draft class. That said, I can't see him coming back.
