If the team plays poorly down the stretch, teams will wait for his release and offer nothing.. If the team makes the playoffs, why would the Packers release him ? Essentially he was a hot commodity McCarthy will be 55 coming off (possibly) back to back losing seasons and demonstrates a heavy reliance on a generational QB(s) for success. I like McCarthy but he’s not going to be a tradeable asset.
