Preseason week two is shortly upon us as we are set to play tomorrow night in Oakland vs. the Rams! If you can't catch the game on TV/stream, follow the box score at NFL.com.

Good news is the starters will get extended time, bad news is the starters will get extended time. Fingers crossed we make it out in one piece.

Just a few things I am excited to see:

  • How does the first team secondary look after a rough week vs ARZ, especially considering no Sean Smith.
  • Can Vanderdoes continue his strong play with the first team D?
  • How does Lee perform compared to last week?
  • Which rookie RB will look better, Crockett or Hood?
  • Finally seeing Carr taking snaps in a game again.
  • The Cook vs Manuel competition

Things I'll be looking out for

1. How does Lynch look. Has he lost a step after a year out.

2. What role Obi plays (if at all)

3. MLB - Who can step up

4. How does Sharpe look at OT

5. Can Hester continue to impress.

Anyone else getting nervous about the LT spot? Newhouse is veteran garbage. This hold out with Penn is ridiculous. Bump his salary and let's go win some games!!

I love Reggie.... but he needs to be more flexible here. Give Penn something. He's a key part of the success of this group.

Reggie shouldn't and won't cave. You don't let a guy hold you hostage like that. If Penn had a better track record with the front office he probably could have come in on time and asked for the bump and got it with no issues but with the turbulence last year as well I doubt he even thought about that. I can't wait til we replace this dude.

And Newhouse isn't garbage. Look good last game tho I wouldn't like the depth going into the year with what we have minus Penn at the position.

I really hope someone does not get injured because we do not have him out there running with the 1's.

I really hope none of the Tackles that showed up for the team get injured. It would improve his leverage while he is letting his teammates down.

You guys are delusional thinking Newhouse is good enough to start at LT in this division, let alone what happens at right tackle with Vidal we can't run a high powered passing attack with a running back and TE blocking to help these guys everytime, Penn is a phenomenal pass protector. Without him Von, Bosa, and Houston will be switching to the non help side of the line and recking our offensive game plan.
