Lol.  We can't even get a player to meet with us.

I mean, other than the Hall of Fame QB, Green Bay is probably the single least appealing NFL destination for most guys.  Packers get guys by drafting them, by overpaying, or by bargain shopping.  Hardly anybody is going to pick a competitive offer out of Green Bay versus a competitive offer from another team.

Really simple question... should we only use stats that you deem acceptable to determine the worth of a player?

Absolutely not.  We should also look at history though.  Like Nick Perry, like Olivier Vernon, like literally every other free agent pass rusher who signed a major deal in free agency.  They don't work out well.  This time next year you're going to be acting like you never wanted us to re-sign Smith and you're going to be laughing at whichever team signed him.

Can we make a separate thread for this dog and pony show if we want to go down this road for the 1000000th time and leave this for rumors and news? This horse has been beaten so much the stick has eroded away. *not directed at you just don't want this to be another FA don't want to come to GB thread*

and when Rodgers is gone, we will probably return to where we were in the 70's...

what? I'd see playing in the best defense in the league as a good thing, not a negative.

Yeah, it's a very good thing when you're an impending free agent and that #1 team beside you helps you get over 4.5 sacks for the first time in your career as a pass rush specialist.

Lol, Ray is angry that he's wrong.

Gipson straight up wouldn't even meet us and you're gonna continue acting like this isn't a thing.

Thank you. And it's the same group of whiners every year who whine about everything. It's so old.

Can you prove it? Or are you *again* twisting facts on what Silverstein stated to support your opinion?  Silverstein literally said it could have been over $$ and that he wasn't sure, but you're ready to blow your load over conjecture over one free agent news dribble.

I mean,  what I said is why I have basically zero expectations of any FA signings in the days when guys are expensive and have a choice of destinations.

If the Packers sign anyone today or tomorrow I am convinced one of the following is true:

- He's an ex-Packer

-He didn't have options.

-Packers overpaid.

I guess the first two are fine, but the last one is bad.

FA is active so that means it's time for Outpost to talk out of his..... again.

He didn't visit here because we didn't offer him the money the team that signs him is offering.

Same group of whiners in literally both directions, so... What you just did to me I can do right back to you.  I'll drop it since I get that this is a thread for free agency rumors and such and I don't want to hijack it anymore than you want it hijacked, but already Jackson and Gipson have passed over the Packers and you're on a pretty tall horse for all the evidence that suggests I'm right.

EVERYONE OVERPAYS on these first days.
