Didn't they complain about the field last year too? Worst case yeah, they play it in LA. But odds are the NFL dumps money into getting that field as quality as possible.

Unless they put turn in, there is only so much that they can do

For the health of the players it's probably the right decision. Just imagine that one of the top guys would get hurt due to the field conditions. That would result in a huge ****storm for the NFL. I think it's the right decision to move the game to LA, although it's ofc really, really sad for every fan who wanted to attend the game in Mexico City and for everyone who booked a flight and hotel.

How's that work for ticketing? They basically need a new crowd to buy tickets

Same thing as every game, season ticket holders will probably be offered tickets first (still have to pay as it wasn’t included in pricing) and the tickets will go on sale to the public via ticketmaster. Shouldn’t take more than a few days to sell out.

Chiefs fan in San Diego - was all set to attend this game (booked hotel yesterday) so devastated by the news.

Received an email from vividseats stating that they would be refunding me the game tickets in 3 to 5 business days.

Seems fishy that they didn't move the game to Estado Olympoci Universitario stadium - it's also in Mexico City and seats 72K.  Finally an International game between two legit teams and it gets moved back states side.

Still going to Mexico City and not watching the game.
