Howler
Rodgers will have the final say on who the coach is. I firmly believe that.

I'm sure they will take Aaron's opinion with a grain of salt, but I think Gute makes sure he himself is comfortable with the coach over anyone else. All due respect - but I think you're living in NBA Land. NFL Owners are a breed apart. They're the big boys on the block.

Demand a trade and refuse to play? If Rodgers is going to sit out games with that contract because he doesn't like the new Head Coach and the Front Office is going to bow to those wishes, this team is well and truly lost. The next coach, if successful, will be around longer than Rodgers will. Gute/Murphy are going to make this call. I doubt Favre had much, if any input on the McCarthy hire. May very well be the case, but to say that he will have "final say" I think is crazy. It's not like Aaron's agent is out there putting together a list of acceptable candidates to be the new Packers coach.

Arthur Penske
For those of you who think hiring a new coach will set back the team and the QB in year 1 or longer, how do you explain Frank Reich, Luck and the Colts?
