NFL has become a passing league which has increased the number of drop backs and more times in shotgun. This should be expected.
Tugboat
Kinda sucks to see big blocks penalized/fined, but at the end of the day...if the NFL is actually serious about dealing with their massive concussion/CTE/neck injury problems...this is the kind of thing that has to go. People can harken back to the "good ol' days" of hard-nosed football where that's totally acceptable...but you have to be cognizant of how many of those "hard-nosed linemen" ended up with jelly for brains after they retired. It's generally not good to put your head down and ram it into people or things with that degree of force. It's bad for your brain. I mean, the fact it was so long after the fact and largely attributable to the media attention it got makes it look like it's just a reflection of the NFL doing more to try to "manage" public perceptions, than actually combat these serious problems. But nonetheless...it's the sort of thing you have to discourage if you want to stop getting yelled at by polite society about scrambling people's brains and ruining lives for the sake of a game.
