Trying to lock down the tenth person, then i'll start a slack channel and we can vote in if we want defense, IDP. Might do dynamic ppr but might be better to keep it simple first year. So we don't have keepers. It's a contract based league. On ESPN (or Fantasypros, could theoretically put it to a vote) on the live draft trends, there's an average auction value. So if I want to sign Saquon Barkley, his average auction value is $59. (round up or down). So I would sign him to a year, $59 contract. Or 1/59. Now, lets say in the startup, I get Deebo Samuel..well his average value is $1 (we'd have va 2$ minimum). so Deebo to a 5 year, $2 contract. or So you'd have Deebo under contract until 2023. In my other league, despite having a ton of high level players, i'm saving a ton by having Michael Thomas, Derrius Guice and DeAndre Hopkins all for way under their current cost. Another great thing about it is their developers and engineers have an open door policy with their users. Routinely just add things based on leagues wanting something new. Next year, i'll be on everyone like..like..RIchard Sherman on Crabtree. Ideally, once we get past the first year, i'm going to start to want to delegate tasks out to people because 1 person running this thing (and i already help out on a more intense version of this) gets to be a bit much. I've posted a link to join our slack channel. I would also recommend downloading the app to your computer and/or phone. Slack has been a god send for our league. No group texts, clunky emails or crappy ESPN platform problems. Incredible way to communicate. I'll still post things on this topic (and track how often people use both), but I think it'd best if we try and do most of our communication and league related stuff on there. We have a contracts channel, transactions channel,, draft channel, trade block etc. We can also hold votes/polls too. Also, I linked the google doc. Anyone can check it out. but please *BOOKMARK IT*. The doc serves as a way to off-line everything in our league. We keep track of contracts, financial amounts, draft history, trade history etc. It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Once I get more familiar with Sleeper, i'll see how much actual curating we have to do. (we're strongly considering migrating our other league to sleeper after 9 years on ESPN). Note, your FF username and team page are already created. Please don't mess with formula's please. I will cry in the shower later if stuff isn't working (I know the % stuff is off, already shed tears over it). If you see some questionable language, let me know. We're a bunch of degenerates in our other league, so just give me a heads up if something is off/offensive. More importantly though, take read through the rules, as that's going to be the ground work for our league moving forward. Obviously, scoring is going to change. Couple quick notes, we won't do a fantasy casino. Read up on it if you're interested, but that's going to have to wait a year. Next up will be setting up the Sleeper league platform, seeing what that's like..and then we need to settle a time for our start up draft. Preferably in the next two weeks since i'm going to be super busy end of july and then we role into the regular season. So please EVERYONE message me a time in the coming weeks in which your available or can at least be on a phone. I can give out my number to people if they want to text their picks in, but obviously, I don't know any of you freak in person, so i'd prefer not too (lol).
