Playoffs? What playoffs...

Pretty funny Toddfather.  hee hee hee.  Philly, Washington, and Carolina are toast.  It's really all about us winning out and having Minny or Seattle go into the crapper.  Most likely Minny.  Can't see how Sea loses to either SF or AZ.  Could see Minny losing to Sea, Det, and Chi view this as more likely.  We lose to the Bears it's over.  Technically still alive but will be promptly eliminated the following week.  What worries me is would Chicago having the division wrapped up rest their starters in that final game?  That would suck.

it would, hence why its very important for Chicago to start picking some Ls up too to make them nervous at the end

Chicago is all but in the playoffs. WE can't get to 9 wins and if the Vikings lose one more, neither can they. So Bears are in the playoffs with a win or a Vikings loss. I'd say that's pretty close to a lock with the way they are playing defense. They aren't going anywhere because Tru(PICK)Sky is not the answer at QB and they will be on the road for two games. Actually 1, if they win in the wild card round which is debatable.

The year the Cards beat the Vikes on the last play of the game to get ther packers in the playoffs, was that the same year as the 4th and 26 debacle? I have vowed to never speak of that horror again but for some reason it seems ok at the moment.

As for this season It seems at least possible that if the packers beat the bears, that the packers could once again replace the vikings in the playoffs. Hence the above thought.

4 teams ahead of the Pack for the last wildcard spot.  They can all win 2 more games and as long as the Pack win all three they can still get in.  I like those chances.

Minnesota has the H2H tiebreak over us, which is the first tiebreaker. They need to lose 2 of their final 3 games and we need to win out. With the other 3 teams you are correct.

So if you're Chicago...and you play the vikes in the final game of the year...the possibility exists that the Bears could choose who they face in Round 1 of the playoffs by virtue of this game. (assuming all the other pieces fell into place)

Would the bears rest their starters and "let" minny win in order to get matched up vs the vikes in Round 1 ?
Would the bears try to beat the vikes, end their season and match up with the Packers in Round 1 ?

Bears let the Packers hang around in 2010 ( bears rested starters for last regular season game) and it cost them the NFC*CG and a chance to go to the Superb Owl.
How would they handle this dilemma ?
Which team would they rather face ( probably the vikes)

Not a chance. First year head coach won't throw a game. Plus with the way the Cowboys are playing, IF we beat Chicago this week, there's a chance they will be playing for the 3 or 4 seed in week 17, so if they throw the game and end up with the 4th seed and have to play a Seahawks team that could be coming off a long win streak...

Who wants to be a millionaire ?

Vegas currently has the Mighty Green Bay Packers at 1000:1 odds to win the Super Bowl

For a mere $ 1000 bet, you too could become a millionaire....

if someone is interested in this...

I would strongly recommend they simply bet each game individually including all scenario required games (such as minnesota losing).  You will win a lot more than a million dollars if you keep rolling that forward.

There would be heavy underdogs in a lot of those games... starting with Chicago this week.
