I don't see why not bring in a veteran guy if you're basically waiting for the season to end and just need a guy to hand the ball to in the meantime. It's not like you're bringing in a promising young draftee or anything at this point in the season. Not really blocking anybody important to the future from getting tons of carries and experience.
