OkeyDoke21
WVU signed former 5 star Florida State wide receiver George Campbell, with 1 year of eligibility left. I remember Campbell, as a recruit, but haven't really followed him since. It sounds like he has been almost completely derailed by injury. Is he someone that we can expect production from, if he can stay healthy, or has he been ineffective, even when not battling injury?

naptownskinsfan
Alabama five star LB Eyabi Anoma is not enrolled in classes at Alabama Quote Alabama is hardly in a position to be pushing any panic buttons given the depth of five and four-star talent there is to be found across the depth chart, but not having a five-star linebacker enrolled in classes is certainly intriguing news. Such is the case right now for the Crimson Tide, as reports have surfaced Eyabi Anoma is not currently enrolled in classes at Alabama. Alabama confirmed the status of Anoma as far as not being enrolled with a brief statement. “Eyabi Anoma is currently not attending classes at The University of Alabama,” read the statement from Alabama Associate Vice President for Communications Monica Watts, per Cecil Hurt of The Tuscaloosa News. That brief statement doesn’t exactly provide much light on the situation but does suggest Anoma could be out of the picture for the Tide this season barring any unforeseen changes in the next month. It has been an interesting time in Alabama for the former five-star recruit. After committing to the Crimson Tide out of Maryland in the Class of 2018, Anoma entered the NCAA transfer portal in early February. But a day later, his name was out of the transfer portal. Whether this latest news is tied to any potential transfer remains to be seen. https://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/07/26/alabama-five-star-lb-eyabi-anoma-not-enrolled-at-alabama/

OLB Anfernee Jennings RS SR, Christopher Allen RS SOPH ILB Dylan Moses JR, Josh McMillon RS SR ILB Ale Kaho SOPH, Markail Benton SOPH OLB Terrell Lewis RS SR Not totally familiar with Kaho or Benton at the other ILB spot but if Lewis and Jennings stay healthy they will be good there and Moses is potentially a 1st round pick at ILB. Maybe Anoma wants to just go but I thought he entered the transfer portal earlier in the year decided to come back? So then has changed again? Oh well sure they will fill the spot but the guy had a lot of potential just based on his size and length and played the spring game did he not?

Yeah, he spent a day in the transfer portal, and then he took his name out. The rumor that has started about Maryland is that they are closer to home, and that Anoma had a very good relationship with Mike Locksley while he was being recruited. Oh well and yeah he might go to Maryland because he is from that sure and the Locksley connection no doubt. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/27277358/alabama-lb-anoma-enters-transfer-portal-again Does say a lot he could not beat out Jennings last year or Miller, much less this up coming season with Jennings and Lewis and both are injured pretty consistently. I believe Allen got more PT before he got injured last year than Anoma who has done little actually on the field. PS Shane Lee looks like a thick well built dude, will be curious how he plays out over the next few years, looks like a thumper.
