ZenoRazon
I'm running out of my 20 posts, so will take all the above here. We have had the NFL since 1920, it's going to work. There are at least 70 college conferences that play football out there right now, no shortage of football players. Those guys can work with dad, join the military, go into sales, get into whatever. But they won't be making a mill a year at 22, in five years, five mill. Who reading this has ever came close to that? A mill a year to 10 mill a year, would work. None of this battling over contracts, no need for agents. Teams pay so much for starters and so much for everybody else. Yep, a bracket. But, everybody makes at least a mill a year if on the active poster. Take the individual out of it. What would these guys do? That's right take that money. The league could pay a hell of a lot more for playoff success. A dramatic difference. There is where a player makes the big bucks, in the playoffs. The CFL has been around a long time..... Things have progressed since 2002, when before joining the CFL, Edmonton Eskimos' quarterback Ricky Ray was delivering Frito Lay potato chips for $43,000 U.S. a year - more than he made in Edmonton that year. By the mid-2000's Ray was the highest paid player in the CFL with an annual salary nearing $400,000. That would be the option wanna be pro footballers would face. Talking millions and millions is crazy.

A starting QB makes 10mill a year, his back up 6 mill. That is it. Same with all positions. If a guy wants to play to play pro football, he will make at least a mill a year, where else can he make that kind of money? The NFL has let it get ridiculous. You just described numerous Professional Sports. Ever pay attention to MLB contracts? NBA? FIFA? Fully guaranteed! Your mistake is comparing any normal job, to a professional athletes. So unless your job specifically contributes to another multibillion entity, there is no comparison to be made.

Wrong. The CFL has been playing football for how long? They don't pay that crazy $$$$$$, so how does the league stay in business? College kids who play football would love to play pro football over a real job. If they have no better option than the NFL that's where they wlll be. A mill a year will work. a 22 kid making a mill a year, hell yes they will sign. No need to get goofy with silly money. Starting QB's make 10 mill a year, that's it. Nothing to debate, argue, take it or ....see ya.

The league brings in an obscene amount of money so what sense does it make to (for no practical reason) want to severely limit the take that goes to the players from it? To answer the question Dak should get as much money as he can, someone else gets paid a lot of money to figure out the teams cap situation and make all of that work. CFL has as much comparison to the NFL as your job when it comes to financials. The only comparisons that should be made is that they use a Football and wear helmets. He’ll be set for life after Jerruh backs up the dump truck for him I want to see them pay a bunch for him as much as the next guy, but it’s a double edged sword because whatever he gets, you know Wentz’s agents will be demanding a decent bit more. lod01
He needs to steal as much $ as he can from Jerry because this will be his only chance to do so.
MrOaktown_56
He should take all he can get. But if you're a cowboys fan, are you telling me that you'd feel good about giving Dak 30+ million a year and guaranteed $$? I wouldn't.
