Horrible story and human characters, but amazing CGI and a lot more monsters, albeit with some ugly camera angles and distorted views. Worth seeing it in IMAX? Haha, I agree with that sentiment because I don't actually remember much of the original's storyline, and I don't recall it being that amazing. What's making the decision difficult for me is more so the complaints about how they more or less toss out a lot of the things that made Godzilla seem so epic in the first movie, i.e. scale, physics - slow movement for such a huge being, proper use of camera angles, clear views of the creatures fighting, etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The last Godzilla was criticized for focusing too much on the humans and it being more of a human story with not enough monster fighting. Now this one is the human story sucks and it's just a bunch of really good monster fights. It's a ****ing movie with Godzilla in it.
