The decision will be made between the Chiefs, the Chargers (see above) and the Texans - who after an 0-3 start to the season have a massive run going for them. Gotta root hard for Baltimore now. If Baltimore wins next Saturday, we....pretty much have it. Would rather win out, obviously, but may as well cheerfor all the possibilities. onejayhawk
As I understand it, if we win either game the only team that can bump us is the Chargers, who get the Broncos in week 16. J
KC_Guy
The run for the #1 seed: Prerequisite #1 for the Chiefs to claim the AFL's #1 seed is they win the division. This has been discussed above. BLUF: They win it unless the Chargers win more of the remaining games than the Chiefs do. Some scenarios: A: The Chiefs win out. They claim the #1 seed. B: The Chiefs drop one game. B1: The Chargers win both games. The Chargers take the division win, the Chiefs drop to the #5 seed. B2: The Chargers drop one or two games. Chiefs take the division, Houston comes into play. B2A: Houston wins both games. B2A1: Chiefs win against Oakland: The Chiefs claim the #1 seed. B2A2: Chiefs win against Seattle: Houston takes the #1 seed, Chiefs drop to #2. B2B: Houston drops one or two games. Chiefs take the #1 seed. C: Chiefs lose both games. C1: Unthinkable. C2: Ridiculous. C3: Fire Sutton.

mayanfootball
I want the Chiefs to get the #1 seed too. Because it may be the only way to advance in the playoffs with our defense. Face it. KC doesn't have a sterling playoff record. We haven't been winning at home either. But it's preferable to playing on the road. This playoff season is fraught with danger because of the Sutton's defense. KC gives up nearly 4 TD's a game while scoring 5 TD's (27pts, and 35pts). No other playoff team will give up more points than KC. No other team needs to score more points than KC.
Habbsawce
The offense is banged up too. They need to get 1st seed and the bye, cannot afford to play on Wildcard weekend.

If he is able to play, I think we can go deep in the playoffs. J
